Shadow of the Western Moon

The score beside the title is a protective community score, not always the arithmetic average. Every member has one vote and every vote is preserved. The raw average for this story is —.

When the raw average is below 4.30, we stabilize it using 25 equivalent reference votes at 4.30 stars. This reduces the effect of one-off low ratings on stories with very few votes. High ratings are never reduced by that calculation: one genuine five-star vote displays 5.00. The stabilization fades as votes accumulate, and all votes remain counted. This method is intentionally protective rather than a neutral statistical average.
